What this site is
Sad Shayari is a free, publicly readable collection of original sad shayari (short Hindi/Urdu poetry), written in Hindi (Devanagari script) with an English transliteration for every line. There is no account system, no paid tier, and no download or app required: everything on the site is available directly in your browser.
Using the shayari on this site
You are welcome to read, copy, and share the shayari on this site (for example, as a WhatsApp status, an Instagram caption, or in a personal message) for personal, non-commercial use, including using the built-in Copy button on any shayari card. That covers the overwhelming majority of how people actually use this site: reading a line, tapping Copy, and posting it somewhere. If you'd like to republish this content at scale (for example, importing many or all of the shayari into another website, a book, an app, or any other commercial product), please contact us first at contact@sadshayari.xyz so we can discuss it, rather than assuming it's covered by the personal-use allowance above.
Originality of the content
Every shayari published on this site is original text, written specifically for this collection. None of it is copied from a published poet, book, or another website, and none of it is attributed to any real or invented author: it is offered anonymously, in the same spirit as many other quote and shayari collections online. We take this seriously: content is written fresh for this site rather than sourced, scraped, or adapted from elsewhere. If you believe any content on this site infringes your rights, please contact us at contact@sadshayari.xyz with a description of the concern and we will look into it promptly.
Availability of the site
We aim to keep this site available and fast, but like any website, occasional downtime, maintenance, or slow periods can happen. We don't promise a specific uptime percentage, and features described on this site (such as search, mood filters, or the Copy button) may be adjusted, improved, or occasionally temporarily unavailable as the site is maintained.
No professional advice
This site is a poetry and quotes collection, not a source of medical, psychological, or professional advice. If you or someone you know is struggling emotionally, please reach out to a qualified professional or a trusted person in your life: the shayari on this site is meant to be relatable, not a substitute for real support. Reading a shayari that captures a feeling you're going through can be a genuine comfort, but it isn't a treatment plan, and we'd rather say that plainly here than let anyone mistake a two-line poem for the help a difficult moment might actually call for.

This site is provided "as is", free of charge, without any warranty of any kind. We try to keep the site available, accurate, and free of errors, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the site will always be error-free.
